Unique, fully refurbished vintage oak writing bureau.

The original stain and varnish on this bureau was worn and marked, so it has been refurbished and updated, keeping the original grain of the oak on the drawers and flap, to contrast with the charcoal grey finish.

Painted in 'Smudge' from the Frenchic furniture paint range, with the flap and drawers in a natural oil/wax finish to bring out the lovely original grain variation.

The support arms come out as the writing flap is lowered and this does have the original working lock and key. The drawers are dovetailed and all run smoothly.

​

This bureau dates from 1920's/1930s, so a few small signs of its age and previous use as it is a vintage item, but refurbished to give a new lease of life, and is a very practical, and unique item of furniture.
