Solid French oak, rustic, extending farmhouse dining table

Lovely quality French farmhouse table which has been fully refurbished and updated. It is made from a rustic character oak, with a lovely grain  on the top, retaining the natural knots, splits and grain variation. The oak has been lightly aged with various distressing techniques, done at the time of making to add to the rustic character. Traditional tenon and pegged joints on the top and legs so very sturdy.

The original finish was very worn, so the top has been taken back to the natural oak and finished in several coats of finishing oil to protect and bring out the lovely features of the rustic oak. The frame has been prepared and finished in 'Salt of the Earth' from the Frenchic paint range.

It has 1 extension leaf, extending to 2.3m (7ft 6in) and the leaf stores under the table when not in use.

 

Unique table in excellent condition.

The top can be removed for transport or access if needed but the legs and frame do not come apart.
