Fully refurbished, vintage oak writing bureau.

 

The original dark oak finish was very aged and worn, so the bureau has been renovated and updated for a new lease of life.

 

It is painted in 'Wise Old Sage' which is a lovely sage green from the Frenchic paint range, to contrast with the interior oak surface and drawers which have been finished in a natural oil and wax to bring out the original oak grain features.

 

The writing surface has been treated with extra coats of clear varnish for extra protection, and the brass hardware has been cleaned and polished.

 

The lock is original and does work.

 

The bureau dates from the 1920/30's, so a few small signs of previous use.
